Fees:
Clayfield Medical Centre is a private billing practice.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, credit or EFTPOS.
The Medicare rebate can be claimed directly for you and thus paid directly into your bank account within 24-48 hours, for eligible patients with valid Medicare card.
Pension, Health Care and Concession card holders will be charged the discounted fee amount.
Children under 6 years of age (with valid Medicare card) will attract a small fee with rebates available from Medicare.
We request that longer appointments are made for:

Saturday & After-Hours Appointments
Saturday appointments and after-hours consultations (5:00pm – 6:00pm, Monday-Friday) incur an additional $15 fee.

- Out of normal hours are the same as Saturday fees
- A $10 non-payment fee is charged if payment is not made on the day of the appointment.
- Fees apply for not attending an appointment or cancelling with less than 3 hours’ notice or 24 hours’ notice for Integrative Health Appointments.
- Script and referral fees are payable for services provided without an appointment. $15 per script (higher for authority & Q scripts) and $35 per referral. Providing these are at the discretion of the doctor.
- Transfer of Complete Medical Records to another GP $50
Telehealth Consultations
These appointments will be charged at the same rates as our face-to-face consultations As of the 20 July 2020, as per Medicare requirements, patients will only be eligible for a Medicare rebate if they have seen a GP at our practice, face-to-face, in the last 12 months before the telehealth consultation takes place. If you do not meet these Medicare requirement, you can still consult your doctor without a Medicare rebate.
Missed Appointments / Late Cancellations
Please call us on (07) 3262 1288 during opening hours to let us know as soon as possible if you are not able to attend any of your appointments. After hours, please email us at reception@clayfieldmedical.
There is a $50 fee per 15 minute block if you either do not attend your appointment or cancel the appointment with less than three hours’ notice. This charge will occur at the Manager’s discretion.
